Sasha Majerus
My name is Sasha, and I’m a proud recovering addict who plays an active and passionate role in the recovery community.
My struggle with addiction began at just 13 years old after a severe knee injury led to years of prescribed pain pills. That dependency eventually spiraled into a 15-year battle with meth addiction—a dangerous and destructive cycle. Today, I am 3 years and 3 months sober. I’ve rebuilt my life alongside my partner of 21 years, who shared in my addiction and now shares in my recovery. We even have the same clean date—the day we chose to take our lives back, reunite with our children, and begin a new path forward.
I’m a mother of five and a proud grandmother. I have a job that I love and a purpose that drives me: to be a beacon of hope for others. After losing many friends to fentanyl poisoning and addiction, I’ve made it my mission to fight back by showing that recovery is possible.
We do recover—and I’m living proof.
